Overland Storage Ships More Than 1,500 ARCvault Products to Speed Adoption of High-Capacity, Affordable Tape Automation

Introduced in July, the ARCvault 12 autoloader and ARCvault 24 rack-optimized tape library are gaining substantial market traction where capacity, simplicity and affordability are key. The series provides up to 19.2 TB of storage—50 percent more capacity at up to 30 percent lower cost per gigabyte than competing products. Additionally, the ARCvault series supports industry-leading features often found in higher-end and more expensive tape libraries, including touch-screen, front-panel configuration; web-based remote management; automated backup and archival; removable cartridge magazines and barcode support for enhanced media management.

OPEN STORAGE SOLUTIONS® AWARDED ARCHIVAL STORAGE EQUIPMENT NMSO

Open Storage Solutions, Inc., has recently been awarded a Government of Canada National Master Standing Offer (NMSO) in the category of Archival Storage Equipment. With this number (E60EJ-04000T/A), Government of Canada departments and agencies can acquire a wide variety of computer data storage equipment in a cost-effective and timely manner.

All of the equipment included in this agreement has been selected after rigorous benchmark testing and value analysis, conducted in accordance with the laws, regulations and policies affecting public sector procurement in Canada. This contract enables federal offices and installations to purchase the listed products without the need to re-qualify the product or re-negotiate pricing.

OPEN STORAGE SOLUTIONS® AWARDED NETAPP ASP STATUS  

Open Storage Solutions, Inc., a leader in providing data storage solutions in Canada and the US, has been named a Network Appliance Authorized Service Provider.

Network Appliance has announced a new Authorized Service Provider (ASP) agreement with Open Storage Solutions Inc on August 24, 2006. The agreement is an upgrade to their current VIP status with Network Appliance. Within the terms of the agreement, Open Storage Solutions will market, sell, implement and now service the complete NetApp solution portfolio throughout Canada.

Open Storage solutions® Awarded EMC˛ VAR of the Year 2005  

Open Storage Solutions, Inc., a leader in providing backup and recovery solutions,  has been named EMC² Americas VAR of the Year for 2005.  The award was presented to Patrick King, Open Storage Solutions’ Manager of Professional Services by EMC² senior management at the second annual EMC Software Kickoff and Partner Conference awards dinner.

The event, held at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, brought together all worldwide EMC Software sales personnel and partners under one roof to share EMC Software’s 2006 vision and strategy and to discuss technology advancements and exciting opportunities, as well as exchange ideas with the best minds in the information management business in order to overcome challenges.

Seagate awards Open Storage solutions® for Outstanding Performance in 2005

Open Storage Solutions, Inc., a national leader in providing data storage, backup and recovery solutions, has been given an award for Outstanding Performance by Seagate Technologies for 2005. The award was presented to Andrew Betterton President and CEO of Open Storage Solutions’ by Bruce Pearson of Seagate Technologies. Open Storage Solutions integrates Seagate disc drives into their RAID, NAS, SAN and disc to disc backup systems as well as other data storage solutions.
