FlexVol technology
FlexVol provides flexible, nondisruptive storage allocation or provisioning from a central pool of storage. NAS volumes can be resized up and down in capacity on-the-fly with no disruption to users or applications.
RAID-DP
RAID-DP (RAID Double Parity) is a NetApp technology that improves upon RAID6 to protect your data in the event of dual concurrent disk drive failure. An array protected with RAID-DP can sustain two disk drive failures with no loss of data.
Snapshots
NetApp Snapshot technology is built into every StoreVault product. A Snapshot copy is an image of the entire file system at a point in time that enables instant backup and easy, almost instantaneous restoration of files, directories, or even an entire volume. To create a Snapshot copy, no data is copied, it’s just another set of pointers to the data.
